David Clayton Becomes The First U.S. Congressional Candidate To Take The Goods Unite Us Pledge!

Democratic debate

Goods Unite Us is thrilled to announce the rollout of its new golden microphone endorsement program for federal politicians!

The microphone is golden because any politician who takes the pledge cannot be bought, and therefore anyone speaking through Goods Unite Us’s golden microphone should be given more credence.

To take the pledge and be recognized, a candidate must pledge to Goods Unite Us in writing or via video “to support campaign finance reform while in office and to fight to get corporate money out of politics.”

Any political candidate for federal office can take the pledge–regardless of political party.

In fact, our first candidate to take the pledge is actually an independent, David Clayton. David is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives and is challenging 81 year old incumbent Republican Virginia Foxx in North Carolinas District 5.

We encourage everyone in the Goods Unite Us community to support David’s 2026 campaign–both publicly and financially–because if we’re going to get corporate money out of politics, we’re going to need a lot more politicians like David to stand up and fight!

In his Congressional campaign, David has pledged to do two things.

To bring transparency to the American public of all the legalized corruption made possible by special interest groups, dark money and insider trading that is currently rampant in our political governing body regardless of party.

And to introduce legislation to level the playing field.

For example, he’s proposed legislation to include term limits and to nullify participation in committees that award Government contracts to special interests in which that Congress person has a vested interest.

David also wants to pass legislation to help the American people by expanding  social security, Medicare and Medicaid protections. And he wants to continue to follow his life’s mission to house homeless veterans and homeless families.

As David puts it: “We as a nation have a corruption problem that gives more power and wealth to the rich while the everyday American sacrifices and pays for them. I aim to bring the power back to the people of whom our nation was founded for.”

Thanks, David, for standing up and taking the Goods Unite Us pledge!

We appreciate you!
