Our Core Feature

This app/site exists because of a theory: Since companies fund campaigns, consumers have massive, untapped power to change politics; just by being a little more intentional when we spend money. In other words, consumer activism is a big deal.

In service of that, we’ve consolidated every action our data supports into one main loop, which activates when you click the Support, Boycott, or Give Feedback buttons on a brand page:

  1. Share – Tell the market by sharing the brand with friends
  2. Speak – Tell the brand, on social media or by email, what you think of their political contributions
  3. Shop – Be the market. If necessary, find a substitute brand that provides what you want until your old brand gets its act together

Seeing this menu means you’re now following the brand, which will then live in your Profile section so you can keep track of it in the future. Soon, you’ll even get updates about your brands when lots of other users interact with them too or when the brand changes its political behavior.

Bottom Line – These are the 3 major components of consumer activism. The first 2 can reward brands that support your values – all 3 can create pressure on brands that don’t.

Informed markets are very, very good at pressuring brands to do what consumers want. For that simple reason these 3 steps, taken by enough people, guarantee change

Share

Consumer activism is more effective with friends. One wallet is a purchase, many wallets are a market and when markets speak, companies listen.

Because this magnifies the power of your dollar so much, we’re giving away a month of ad-free to everyone who shares the app with 3 other people.

Do most apps have features like this? Yes.

Is it actually important this time, especially for the kind of activism this platform is built for? Also yes.

For now, unlocking this requires hitting that share button specifically.

Speak

Let the brand know you support or oppose the politics they fund. Let everyone on social media know too.

More posts, more people, more pressure on companies

We’ll be adding support for Threads Instagram soon.

Shop

Support the brands that support you. It’s that simple.

You’ll also see the Shop button up top, near the brand name. We’re trying this out to see if you like it.

Did You Sell Out?

Nope – These are affiliate links that generate a percent of a penny each time someone clicks. They help us keep the app free, are less annoying than ads, and directly enable the consumer activism you’re already doing.

Here’s our thinking – This platform is built for consumer activism. Much of that is switching from brands with misaligned values to those with aligned values. Since that’s how most people already use us:

  1. Making that easier with links helps to magnify the power of your wallet
  2. Us making a fraction of a cent per click helps pay for the servers & coders & analysts
  3. Which helps keep the app free
  4. Which helps magnify the power in your wallet when more people find out this exists, and respond to a brand alongside you

Won’t it skew your research?

No, and here’s why (this applies to ads too):

These are here because we think they’ll supercharge your ability to make change, without changing how you already use our data, and without costing you a dime extra.
