Goods Unite Us is thrilled to announce that another prominent federal political candidate – Saikat (“Shoy-cott”) Chakrabarti – has taken the Goods Unite Us pledge to get corporate money out of politics!
As a reminder, Goods Unite Us is rolling out its new golden microphone endorsement program for federal politicians.
The microphone is golden because any politician who takes the pledge cannot be bought, and therefore anyone speaking through Goods Unite Us’s golden microphone should be given more credence.
To take the pledge and be recognized, a candidate must pledge to Goods Unite Us in writing or via video “to support campaign finance reform while in office and to fight to get corporate money out of politics.”
Any political candidate for federal office can take the pledge–regardless of political party.
Our first candidate to take the pledge was David Clayton from North Carolina’s District 5.
Saikat is our second pledge member, and he’s a BIG one!
Saikat is looking to unseat the 85-year old Pelosi on a platform calling for the following:
- Universal Healthcare
- Universal Childcare
- Lower Rents
- A Ban On Congressional Stock Trading
- Getting Rid of Money in Politics
We encourage everyone in the Goods Unite Us community to support Saikat’s 2026 campaign–both publicly and financially–because if we’re going to get corporate money out of politics, we’re going to need a lot more politicians like Saikat to stand up and fight!

Thanks, Saikat, for standing up to corporate money in politics!
We appreciate you!
